Comprehensive Guide to ZOYI ZT-703S (Part 3) Display Symbols and Operating modes

Oscilloscope multimeter is an essential tool for anyone working with electronics, allowing you to visualize and analyze electrical signals. Understanding how to navigate the various settings and menus, which can significantly enhance your ability to diagnose and troubleshoot circuits.

In this blog, we’ll continue to explore our ZT-703S Oscilloscope multimeter display symbols,  such as the Voltage/Time menu, Waveform Movement, and Trigger settings etc.

  1. Voltage/Time Menu (VOL/TIME)

The Voltage/Time menu is crucial for adjusting the display of ZT-703S Oscilloscope multimeter . Here’s how you can operate it:

  • Switching Channels: Press the F1 key to switch between channels. The menu color will change to indicate the current channel’s color setting, making it easy to identify which channel you’re adjusting.
  • Adjusting Voltage Amplitude: Use the up arrow to increase the voltage amplitude and the down arrow to decrease it. This allows you to zoom in or out on the signal’s voltage level, ensuring you capture the details you need.
  • Adjusting Time Scale: Press the left arrow to decrease the time scale value and the right arrow to increase it. This adjustment helps you focus on specific time intervals of the waveform, whether you need a broad overview or a detailed image at a particular section.

12.Waveform Movement (MOVE)

Moving waveforms around the screen can help you align them for better analysis:

  • Switching Channels: A short press of the F2 key allows you to switch between channels. This is useful when you’re working with multiple signals and need to adjust each one individually.
  • Adjusting Waveform Position: Use the arrow keys to move the waveform up, down, left, or right. This can help you align the waveform with grid lines or other waveforms for comparison.
  • Resetting Waveform Position: If you need to return the waveform to the center of the screen, just long press the F2 key. This is a quick way to reset the display if you’ve moved the waveform too far.

13.Trigger Cursor(TRIGGER)

The trigger is a fundamental feature that helps stabilize the waveform on ZT-703S Oscilloscope multimeter display. Here’s how you can adjust it:

  • Vertical Trigger Position: Use the up and down keys to move the trigger point vertically. This adjustment helps you align the trigger with the desired voltage level on the waveform.
  • Horizontal Trigger Position: Use the left and right keys to adjust the trigger point horizontally. This allows you to set the trigger at a specific point in time along the waveform.
  1. Measurement Cursor

To make precise measurements, you can select the cursor axis that needs adjustment:

  • Cursor Axis Selection: Press  key F4 to choose between vertical or horizontal cursor adjustments. This selection enables you to measure voltage (vertical) or time (horizontal) with greater accuracy.
  1. Channel 1 (CH1)Voltage

When the coupling mode and voltage scale for Channel 1 are displayed, which is helping you understand how the signal is being processed and the scale at which it’s being viewed.

16.Channel 2 (CH2)Voltage

When the coupling mode and voltage scale for Channel 2 are displayed, which is allowing you to monitor and compare signals from both channels.

  1. Signal Generator Status

The measurement cursor is a powerful tool for analyzing waveforms and checking work status of device

  • Waveform Shape and Frequency Parameters: The cursor displays the corresponding waveform shape symbol and frequency setting parameters based on the current output status of the signal generator. This includes:
    • Square Wave: Ideal for digital signal analysis.
    • Pulse Wave: Useful for examining pulse width and duty cycle.
    • Sine Wave: Commonly used for analyzing analog signals.
    • Triangle Wave: Helps in studying linear voltage changes.

Conclusion

By understanding these symbols and operating these controls of ZT-703S Oscilloscope multimeter , you can enhance your ability to analyze and interpret electronic signals accurately. Whether you’re a seasoned engineer or a beginner mastering these features, these tips will significantly improve your understanding to our ZT-703S Oscilloscope multimeter proficiency.
